THE IAG PERFORMANCE EQUAL LENGTH HEADER FOR FA20 DIT 2015-21 WRX

The IAG Performance Equal Length Header is the perfect upgrade to boost the performance and power in your 2015-2021 Subaru WRX with the FA20 DIT engine. While the OEM headers restrict the airflow behind the engine port, the collector pipes and the turbo port, IAG’s precision engineered header provides a clear path for increased airflow, resulting in more power and greater efficiency.

GAME-CHANGING UPGRADE

In addition to the improvements in airflow, the equal-length tubing in IAG’s Equal Length Header decreases turbulence that is commonly found in unequal-length (UEL) header setups. The main goal of the exhaust system is to move gases away from the engine as quickly as possible. With UEL headers, it takes more time for the gases to pass through the two longer header pipes to reach the collector, causing an imbalance of backpressure at the exhaust ports, decreasing the overall performance of the exhaust.

PROTECT YOUR RINGLANDS

The lingering exhaust gasses in the longer tubes of the UEL header systems can also cause increased temperatures at the cylinders, which can lead to ringland failure. This problem is solved by the IAG Equal Length Header's equal-length tubes, which provide lower and more stable cylinder temperatures, helping to reduce the chance of ringland failure.

STAINLESS STEEL CONSTRUCTION

The IAG Equal Length Header is TIG welded and fully constructed from 304 stainless steel, including the cast stainless flanges. This premium-grade stainless steel ensures long-lasting resilience, even at high temperatures. The IAG Header pipes feature a consistent 45mm (1.77 inch) inner diameter throughout, providing an improvement over the 40mm restriction found in the OEM version. Additionally, the flange openings at the turbo ports have been widened to 42mm (1.65 inch) to provide maximum flow and performance. Finally, the header incorporates the use of a slip-joint expansion section to accommodate for flex caused by heat cycling.

The IAG Equal Length Header comes with all the hardware needed for installation, including both engine port gaskets and a turbo port gasket. Designed for a straightforward installation, this kit ensures you’ll have everything necessary to efficiently replace the manifold. For someone with moderate mechanical abilities, the installation can be completed in around 3-4 hours.
